I’ll Be Her Only One-D (Jon Byrd/Kevin Gordon) VS: Most mornings I can touch her She’s stays close most all the time Where she goes when she’s leaving She’ll say it ain’t none of mine CH: Yeah I might of cried a river But my old levee’s made for flood ‘Cross my levee she’ll come walking And I’ll be her only one VS: Say she’s walking Tchoupitoulas With a stranger looking free You say that’s got to be the cruelest But what’s that got to do with me CH: Yeah I might of cried a river... VS: Oh I know she’s not the best To keep her word or walk that line But man, we understand each other Guess we’re two of the same kind CH: Don’t you tell me not to love her Don’t you say it can’t be done ‘Cross my levee she’ll come walking And I’ll be her only one

Ballad of Jr. & Lloyd (James Kelly) Jr. & Lloyd were good buddies They ran a little business up the hill Jr. & Lloyd made lots of money Sellin’ homemade whisky from a still Jr. he was a family man Lloyd was loyal to none Jr. only did it for the money Lloyd said he did it for the fun BR: They never said a word about the danger They never showed a single ounce of fear Deep inside they both had felt the presence Of a dark cloud that lingered so near Lloyd had a recipe for moonshine Jr. had a way with a car Lloyd drove that suped-up Chrysler thru those border towns Jr. kept it runnin’ fast and far A 1,000 lbs. of tin and copper tubing Kept the whiskey drippin’ night & day 4,000 thousand lbs. of bondo, steel, and rubber Delivered mountain dew the fastest way BR: One night those Revenuers lucky-guessed Lloyd’s secret route And set the roadblock up around the bend Jr. saw the ball of fire and reached for Flossy’s hand And shed a farewell tear from his best friend Now Jr. makes a livin’ fixin’ up those real fast cars Watching them go ‘round and ‘round and ‘round He wishes Lloyd was out there he’d be runnin’ w/the best Ol’ Lloyd would rather die than let you down Jr. & Lloyd were good buddies Ran a little business up the hill Jr. & Lloyd made lots of money Sellin’ homemade whisky from a still

Cash on the Barrelhead - (Louvin/Louvin) Got in a little trouble down at the county seat Lord, they put me in the jail house for loafin' on the street When the judge heard the verdict I’s a guilty man He said, “45 dollars or 30 days in the can.” "That’d be cash on the barrelhead, son. You can take your choice, you're 21. No money down, no credit plan. No time to chase you ‘cause I'm a busy man.” Found a telephone number on a laundry slip I had a good-hearted jailor with a 6-gun hip He let me call long-distance. She said, "Number, please.” And no sooner than I told her she shouted out at me "That’d be cash on the barrelhead, son. Not part, not half, but the entire sum. No money down, no credit plan. 'Cause a little bird tells me you're a travelin' man.” 30 days in the jail house, 4 days on the road I was feelin' mighty hungry, my feet, a heavy load Saw a Greyhound comin' stuck up my thumb Just as I’s bein’ seated the driver caught my arm "That’d be cash on the barrelhead, son. This old gray dog gets paid to run. When the engine stops lord, the wheels won’t roll. You give me cash on the barrelhead I’ll take you down the road.”

Why Must You Think of Leaving? (Jon Byrd/Shannon Wright) Clouds kiss the mountains They don't wanna fly away They're hugging the hillside ‘Cause they wanna stay Where the waters roll and tumble Past my door as if to say Why must you think of leaving When you know you wanna stay All the songs are waiting All the people too But I can’t shake this feeling All I’ll think about is you You want me to be happy But your farewell seems to say Why must you think of leaving When you know wanna stay Tickets have been purchased Soon I’m on my way Bags are packed and waiting Can’t afford to lose the day I say I’ll return a better man Then kiss your cheek as if to say Why must I think of leaving Then I’m on my way

Don't Go To Strangers (J.J.Cale) If I'm standing in a crowd Call my name, call it loud Don't go to strangers, Woman call on me Wave your arms in the air Let me know that you're there When in doubt, Oh, woman call on me Br:Don't leave me here to rust Don't let me turn to dust Oh, woman, when in doubt Call on me
